Welcome To Woodnesborough
Woodnesborough (Wodens beorg, meaning “Woden’s Hill) stands on an old Roman road from Richborough to Dover. The village takes its name from the Saxon god of wisdom. The village has recently built a new Village Hall. It is a versatile modern building and offers a wide range of diverse events and clubs – toddler groups through to tutoring as well as being able to provide for weddings and birthday parties. The village also supports a thriving football club from under 8’s through to adult teams.
