St Mary’s Church stands at the heart of Sandwich – one of England’s best-preserved medieval towns. Once a great Cinque Port, Sandwich still echoes with its maritime past, and St Mary’s remains a landmark of its heritage.

Today, thanks to the Friends of Sandwich St Mary’s Community Trust (SSMCT) and the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT), this Grade I listed church is alive once more as a vibrant arts and community venue. Together with the CCT, we work to conserve, restore, and animate the building through concerts, theatre, exhibitions, and community gatherings. We are also a registered charity number 1064576.
