The Club welcomes new members – you don’t need a boat to join!
Membership is open to anyone over eighteen, subject to the Committee’s approval.
1. Clubhouse
MV Frederica Johanna, a 100ft working Dutch barge conversion, moored on the River Stour. Complete with bar and seating area, mezzanine lounge with large screen television, toilets and central heating, plus outside top deck, with seating and canopy during the summer months. Fully operational engine room with a DAF diesel engine and twin rudders.
2. Moorings
The club has mooring for boats up to 10 metres in length, the Club has recently upgraded moorings with fibreglass open mesh grating, metered electric hook ups, water points on the pontoons and CCTV and lighting covering, the fenced and gated car parks access to/from and along the moorings and dingy park. The Club is run and managed by volunteers, and Working Parties to upgrade the clubhouse, boat park and moorings are an essential feature of the Club.
3. Boat Park and Car Parking
The Club has an extensive fenced and gated boat park with space for boat maintenance (including electric hook ups) and plenty of car parking, together with a toilet block and lighting around the site.
4. Picnic and Camping Site
Up river, between Pluck’s Gutter and Grove Ferry, the Club has a picnic site where boats can moor overnight, and members may rough camp (no facilities) through the year, the Club organises several trips to the picnic site each year.
